Custom Lapel Pin Styles & Manufacturing Options

Soft Enamel Pins
Soft enamel pins feature raised metal lines and recessed color areas, creating a bold textured look with clear depth and strong visual contrast. This is one of the most versatile and cost-effective options for custom pins with vibrant colors and detailed artwork.

Hard Enamel Pins
Hard enamel pins are polished flat to achieve a smooth, durable surface with a refined jewelry-like appearance. Known for their long-lasting quality and scratch resistance, they are ideal for premium branding and high-end recognition products.

Die-Cast Pins
Using zinc alloy die-casting technology, this allows for complex 3D relief structures, deep layers, and hollow-out designs that traditional stamping cannot achieve. It is ideal for custom pins that require depth, dimension, and highly detailed forms.

Die-Struck Pins
Produced from solid brass or iron without enamel coloring. The design is achieved through contrasting finishes—polished raised metal combined with matte or sandblasted backgrounds—highlighting fine metallic craftsmanship.

Full-Color Printed Pins
Full-color printing is suitable for gradients, photographs, small details and artwork that requires more colors than traditional enamel filling. A protective clear coating can be added for a glossy finish.

Custom Lapel Pin Manufacturing Process
From approved artwork to finished pins, each order goes through a structured production process covering mold making, metal forming, polishing, plating, coloring, inspection, assembly and packaging.

Step 1: Artwork & Design Proof
Send us your artwork, logo or design concept in AI, PDF, JPG or other common formats. We review the artwork and prepare a digital proof showing the proposed shape, size, colors and finishing details for approval before production.

Step 2: Mold Making & Forming
After artwork approval, we develop the required mold and form the metal base using die casting, stamping or other methods based on the design. This stage creates the pin's shape, raised details, recessed areas and structural features.

Step 3: Polishing
After metal forming, the pieces are trimmed and polished to remove rough edges, improve surface smoothness and prepare the metal for the selected finishing process.

Step 4: Plating & Coloring
The polished metal is finished with the selected plating. Depending on the pin type, enamel filling, printing or other coloring processes are then applied according to the approved artwork and color requirements.

Step 5: Quality Inspection
Each production batch is checked for shape, surface finish, plating, color, enamel filling, printing and overall workmanship. Any issues identified during inspection are addressed before the order moves to assembly and packing.

Step 6: Attachment & Assembly
Selected backings and attachments, such as butterfly clutches, rubber clutches, magnets, safety pins or screw backs, are securely fitted according to the approved specification.

Step 7: Packaging
After final inspection and assembly, the finished pins are individually packed according to the order requirements. Options include poly bags, backing cards, velvet pouches, gift boxes and custom packaging.

Step 8: Delivery
Finished orders are packed for shipment and arranged through suitable international express, air or logistics services based on the order requirements and destination.
